My friend Susanna Soderi took over her father’s vineyard, Setriolo, over twenty years ago. Her organic Chianti Classico, Riserva and Super Tuscan wines have won many awards over the years.

I have had the privilege of working alongside Susanna in the vineyards and cellars, learning every aspect of her wine making from pruning the vines in January to harvesting the grapes in September and the many attentions to detail from the first days of fermentation to the aging process in oak barrels. What was initially an interest in and appreciation of good wine, has become a passion for days in the vineyard as well as for drinking what is in the glass!
